WINNIPEG -- The Canadian womens soccer team will get another chance this year to try and beat the United States when the rivals meet May 8 in Winnipeg. Simon Mignolet Jersey . Canadian midfielder and Winnipeg native Desiree Scott is thrilled the team will play in her hometown for the first time since 1990. "Im beyond excited," she said. "Ive been waiting for this day to come." Canada lost to the No. 1-ranked Americans 1-0 in Texas on Friday and hasnt managed to beat them since 2001. "Obviously we didnt play our best match but we had our opportunities in that game and I think were inching ... closer to the Americans," said Scott, a member of the 2012 bronze-medal Olympic team. Winnipeg has already been named as one of the six host cities for FIFA Womens World Cup in 2015, but fans in the Manitoba capital wont see the home squad in that competition. Canadian head coach John Herdman was also on hand for Mondays announcement and said the team has been in a talent development and refocusing phase since the Olympics, which is starting to show results. "Last year was a huge learning curve for the team and we did all right but this years about stepping forward and I hope when we play the big teams we can get a (win) and that should put us in a good place heading into 2015," he said. "The opportunity to beat a team that hasnt been beaten in 12 years by Canada? Man, the scripts already been written I think." The Canadian team, which is ranked seventh in the world, is announcing its friendly schedule piecemeal and will make a stop in Edmonton on Tuesday. Scott said shes anxious to play in front of friends and didnt shy away from trying to twist a few arms to ensure a good crowd at Investors Group Field, the home of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. "Its going to be a great game and I hope all of Winnipeg comes out," she said. "You really have no excuse not to be there." Scott currently plays for FC Kansas City as part of the new National Womens Soccer League. Meanwhile, a new study predicts womens World Cup soccer events this year and next in Canada will create about $337 million in overall economic activity. Six provinces will get a share, ranging from a high of $80 million in Alberta to a low of about $26 million in Manitoba. Tournament games will also be played Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and New Brunswick. Most of that $337 million will be generated by Womens World Cup, with about $70 million coming this year from the under-20 womens World Cup. Winnipeg wont see any under-20 action this year. The preliminary report prepared by the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance looks at out of town visitors, capital construction costs and the costs of hosting competitions. It said the net economic activity for Canada would run about $169 million. Eden Hazard Jersey . There is no argument that the line of Pacioretty, David Desharnais and Thomas Vanek was one of the hottest in the NHL leading into the post-season, and they did combine for three goals and seven points, but it was the depth of all four lines that helped propel Montreal. Belgium Jerseys . Sharper briefly appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court, where his arraignment was postponed until Feb. 20 at the request of his lawyers. They issued a statement saying he would be exonerated. Prosecutors then filed a motion to increase Sharpers bail to $10 million and outlined details of investigations involving him in Las Vegas, Tempe, Ariz. The Canadian women had the second-fastest runs in the final heat, but could not slide onto the skeleton podium on Friday in Sochi. Sarah Reid and Mellisa Hollingsworth posted identical runs of 58.15 seconds in their fourth runs, but finished seventh and 11th, respectively. Great Britains Elizabeth Yarnold sealed gold with a run of 558. Dedryck Boyata Jersey. .09, for a combined four-run time of 3:52.89. American Noelle Pikus-Pace was second with 3:53.86, and Russian Elena Nikitina won bronze in 3:54.30 Calgarys Reid had a combined, four-run time of 3:54.73 while Hollingsworth of Eckville, Alta., finished her Olympic career with a combined time of 3:56.21. Wholesale NFL Jerseys Wholesale NFL Gear Discount NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping Stitched Jerseys NFL Jerseys Outlet Wholesale NFL Jerseys ' ' '

He will just have to wait a little longer. Bester grabbed an early lead before Scotlands Darren Burnett took over and ran away with the mens singles lawn bowling final 21-9 on Friday. Antonio Rudiger Jersey . -- Canada played to expectation up until halftime.CLEVELAND -- One swing by Dayan Viciedo provided a dramatic turnaround for the Chicago White Sox. Viciedo hit a three-run homer in the ninth inning off John Axford, lifting the White Sox over the Cleveland Indians 4-3 and stopping a four-game losing streak. After the ball cleared the right-field fence, Viciedo pointed to Chicagos dugout, which erupted in celebration. "That was for the team. That was very exciting," he said. Other than Jose Abreus major league-leading 12th homer, a solo drive in the first inning, the ALs highest-scoring team couldnt manufacture any runs. Corey Kluber struck out a career-high 13 in eight innings, including a team-record seven straight. He allowed three hits and two walks, leaving with a 3-1 lead after 110 pitches. "Its good for the guys to just stay with it," Chicago manager Robin Ventura said. "Even though it looks bleak, you can still make a little bit of a comeback." Axford (0-2) walked Gordon Beckham leading off the ninth, but struck out Abreu. Adam Dunn walked, and Viciedo homered on a 2-2 pitch. "I was looking for a pitch I could make good contact with," Viciedo said. "He made a mistake, and I made him pay for it." Axford gave up the homer on a 96 mph four-seamer. "I fell behind in the count to too many guys, and it didnt work out," he said. "I put two guys on base without me even challenging. I just couldnt find it. The home run was on a fastball. Not a very good pitch, obviously." Indians manager Terry Francona, citing pitch count and the narrow lead, didnt second guess himself for pulling Kluber. "If anyone got on base, he was going to come out of the game, and I didnt think that was fair to him," Francona said. Kluber had no problem with Franconas strategy. "Thats not my decision. I trust Titos judgment," he said. Axford has blown two saves in 11 chances, both against the White Sox. He gave up a walkoff homer to Alexei Ramirez in the ninth inning on April 13 at Chicago. Daniel Webb (2-0) pitched the eighth, and Matt Lindstrom threw a one-hit ninth for his fourth save in seven chances. George Kottaras, the Indians backup catcher, became the first player to homer in his first two plate appearances for Cleveland. Mario Gotze Jersey. Andre Rienzo allowed three runs and seven hits in 4 2-3 innings. Klubers streak began when he struck out Gordon Beckham and Abreu for the final two outs of the third. He fanned Dunn, Viciedo and Ramirez in the fourth, and Jordan Danks and Tyler Flowers struck out beginning the fifth. Leury Garcia broke the streak by walking on a 3-2 pitch, and Kluber struck out Alejandro De Aza. Kluber fell two strikeouts short of the AL record set by Doug Fister for Detroit against Kansas City on Sept. 27, 2012. Tom Seaver holds the major league record of 10 for the New York Mets against San Diego on April 22, 1970. Clevelands previous mark was six by Bob Feller, Bartolo Colon, Chuck Finley and Mitch Talbot. Four of Abreus five hits against the Indians this season have been homers. The White Sox broke an eight-game losing streak at Progressive Field, where they had gone 6-20 since 2013. "It hasnt been good to us here so to be able to come back and take one like this is pretty nice," Ventura said. The White Sox returned to Chicago to start a four-game, home-and-home stretch against the Cubs on Monday at Wrigley Field. "It was a much-needed win, obviously," Lindstrom said. "Now we can go home and start to put together a pretty good series against the Cubs. Kottaras, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Columbus on Saturday when Yan Gomes was placed on the paternity list, hit solo homers in the third and fourth. Kottaras had been 2 for 25 (.080) in the minors. Lonnie Chisenhall had an RBI single for Cleveland in the third. Indians centre fielder and leadoff hitter Michael Bourn missed the game because of tightness in his left hamstring. NOTES: Indians DH Jason Giambi (cramp in right calf) didnt play. ... The White Sox added OF Moises Sierra, claimed off waivers from Toronto, to the 25-man roster. LHP Frank De Los Santos was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte. ... The Indians optioned LHP Nick Hagadone to Columbus. ... Chicago 3B Conor Gillaspie (bruised left hand) homered on a minor league injury rehabilitation assignment at Charlotte and could return this week. Wholesale NFL Jerseys Wholesale NFL Gear Discount NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping Stitched Jerseys NFL Jerseys Outlet Wholesale NFL Jerseys ' ' '

HOUSTON - After the Houston Texans came up just short of making the playoffs on Sunday, J. Sean Mannion Jersey .J. Watt had just one regret.I want to win more games, he said. We couldve won more games.Watt had three sacks, a safety and forced a fumble Sunday to strengthen his case for MVP and help the Texans to a 23-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The Texans (9-7) had a shot at making the playoffs, but Baltimore beat Cleveland 20-10 to claim the final AFC wild-card spot.Youre excited about the win and everything that happened and youre hoping, Watt said. But thats what happens when you leave it in somebody elses hands.Andre Johnson helped out in the win with a season-high 134 yards receiving and a touchdown for Houston which made a seven-game improvement over last seasons 2-14 record under first-year coach Bill OBrien.Johnson gave Houston a 21-17 lead with an 8-yard reception early in the fourth. Watt made it 23-17 when he sacked Blake Bortles in the end zone for a safety a few minutes later. The sack gave him 20 1/2 this season, making him the first player in NFL history to have two seasons with 20 or more sacks after he also had 20 1/2 when he won Defensive Player of the Year 2012.The Jaguars (3-13) had a chance to take the lead late, but Cecil Shorts III was out of bounds on a catch on fourth down.Bortles threw for 117 yards as he struggled to move the offence for most of the day under near-constant pressure from Watt and company.Watt danced happily to the song Turn Down For What after returning to the sideline after his safety. The defensive end, who has scored five touchdowns this season, smiled as the sellout crowd chanted MVP, MVP.Watt is looking to become the first defensive player to win NFL Most Valuable Player since Lawrence Taylor did it in 1986. The winner will be announced by The Associated Press on Jan. 31.Five things to know about the regular-season finale between the Jaguars and Texans.A CASE FOR CASE: Case Keenum threw for 250 yards with two touchdowns and an interception to win his second game since rejoining the Texans after being released in training camp. Keenum was signed from the St. Louis practice squad two weeks ago after Ryan Fitzpatrick and rookie Tom Savage were injured with Ryan Mallett already out for the season.Hes a good guy, a fun guy to coach, OBrien said. I cant say enough about the job that he did and I cant say enough about the guys around him and the way they rallied around him over the last couple of weeks.GROWING PAINS: Jacksonville coach Gus Bradley was impressed by the work ethic and attitude of Bortles this season. But the Jaguars are certainly looking for improvement next season from the third overall pick in this years draft after he finished the season with 11 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. This guys exactly what were looking for and well get to work with him in the off-season that well get (things) accomplished, Bradley said. That spirit and that fearlessness and competitiveness that he has is exactly what we hoped.JOHNSONS BIG DAY: Johnsons had 10 receptions on Sunday to give him 85 catches for 936 yards this season. He is the 11th player in NFL history to have 80 or more catches in at least seven seasons. Sunday was his 51st career game with 100 yards receiving, which is the most among active players and tied for Terrell Owens for fourth-most in NFL history. Johnson said hell probably appreciate his place in NFL history more when he retires.I dont really get a chance to sit down and look at it and just go over everything, Johnson said. I think thats when youre really able to realize what you were able to accomplish as a player.MARKS INJURED: Jacksonville defensive tackle SenDerrick Marks injured his knee on a touchdown by Houstons Alfred Blue that made it 14-10 in the second quarter. Marks was on crutches after the game and Bradley said hed have an MRI on Monday.TOUGH STRETCH: The Jaguars have not had a winning season since going 11-5 in 2007. They won eight games in 2010, but havent won more than five since then. Dwayne Gratz, who had an interception return for a touchdown on Sunday, said the Jaguars have to find a way to improve next year.It is time, he said. We need to stay on top of it and make sure it doesnt go this way next year. I think well get on top of it and hold each other accountable next season.___Online: AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL Andrew Whitworth Jersey . The Senators return from a lengthy layoff caused by Wednesdays attack on Parliament Hill to host the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night. Jack Youngblood Jersey . MacArthur scored two goals, and the Senators outlasted Detroit in a testy third period to beat the Red Wings 4-2 on Saturday night.Alex Chiassons hot start, a scorching Flame, production from Phil Kessel, goaltending concerns in Carolina and Nashville, the fate of Alex Goligoski, a logjam at forward in Detroit and more in Scott Cullens latest blog. 1. Stars rookie RW Alex Chiasson scored a pair of goals Thursday night, giving him 11 goals in 16 career games. 11 goals on 46 shots gives him a 23.9 shooting percentage, best among all players with at least 10 goals since the start of last season. While there is every possibility that Chiasson isnt going to keep finishing at this rate, there is reason to hold high expectations for his scoring potential. Through nine games, he has 33 shots, 3.67 per game is tied for 19th with teammate Jamie Benn and Blue Jackets winger Cam Atkinson. Going back to 2011-2012, the last 82-game season, there were 11 players that averaged at least 3.50 shots per game, and all of them scored at least 30 goals. Maybe this prediction wasnt so for off the mark. 2. Flames RW Jiri Hudler had his nine-game season-opening point streak snapped Thursday, playing a season-low 16:20 in a 5-1 loss to Dallas. Hudler, along with rookies Sean Monahan and Sven Baertschi, is enjoying some serious puck luck, so regression is on its way, but there is some reason to be optimistic that Hudler can have a productive offensive year, not least of all being that hes playing 20:59 per game, far more than any other season in his career. Hudler had a career-high 57 points with the Red Wings in 2008-2009, when he played just 13:39 per game, so its not so outrageous to think that even when the bounces arent going his way that Hudler can push for something north of 50 points this season. 3. Through the first nine games of the Toronto Maple Leafs season, despite their winning ways, there was some level of disappointment because Phil Kessel had only scored two goals. Then, Kessel tallied a hat trick (in a season-low 16:53 of ice time) against Anaheim, giving him five in 10 games, and everything was all right. Kessel is playing a career-high 20:40 per game and averaging 4.0 shots on goal per game, the second-best rate of his career, so there is little reason to panic when the puck isnt going in. As the goal-scorers say, as long as theyre getting the chances... 4. After allowing 19 goals on 111 shots (.829 SV%) in his first four games of the season, Oilers G Devan Dubnyk was considered in some circles to be unworthy of NHL play, then he stopped 101 of 108 shots (.935 SV%) in the next three games to indicate that perhaps it was too soon to write him off. Based on the 139 NHL games he played prior to this season, during which he posted a .913 save percentage, Dubnyk is a viable starting goaltender -- one that could be upgraded but, as a 27-year-old who has been a starter for less than two seasons, one that could still improve on his performance. The question seems to be whether the win-now motive of the Oilers will allow them to be reasonably patient with a goaltender that has started slowly. Judging goaltenders at the best of times is tricky business, let alone when dealing with such small samples. Consider that Niklas Backstrom, Henrik Lundqist, Jonathan Quick, Mike Smith and Robeto Luongo are among the goaltenders to have save percentages under .910 this season. That doesnt mean that Dubnyk (or any of those listed) are sure to turn their games around, but it suggests that its too soon to write off goaltenders that have a track record of performing at a higher level. 5. Nashvilles goaltending situation becomes more precarious with word that Pekka Rinne is out for at least four weeks after undergoing hip surgery. Carter Hutton, the 27-year-old who stepped into the backup job this season, has been stellar in limited work, stopping 93 of 97 shots (.959 SV%) in three appearances, but he has a .911 save percentage in 120 AHL games, so thats probably a better gauge of his ability. Enter Magnus Hellberg, the 22-year-old that the Predators drafted in the second round in 2011. He has a .923 save percentage in 42 AHL games and has been recalled. With Hutton playing well, there may not be any urgency to rush Hellberg into the lineup but, if Hutton falters, the opportunity could be there for Hellberg to earn significant playing time over the next month. 6. Carolinass goaltending is a murky mess in its own right. Starter Cam Ward is out 3-4 weeks with a lower body injury and backup Anton Khudobin is already out with his own lower body injury. That leaves Justin Peters, who has an .897 save percentage in 48 career NHL games, as the starter. The situation isnt necessarily so dire. Its not great that Peters might have to start the next handful of games, but Khudobin may be ready by the end of next week. The long-term issue to watch is if Khudobin (who has a .932 SV% in 24 career NHL games) manages to string together a good number of starts before Ward is ready to return, how the split will be going forward. Ward has played 60 or more games five times in his career, so hes used to dominating the crease, but it may not be that way this season. 7. Wild D Jonas Brodin suffered a fractured cheekbone after taking a puck to the face. With Brodin out of the lineup, Jared Spurgeon has moved in alongside Ryan Suter on Minnesotas top defence pair. Spurgeon has played more than 24 minutes in each of the last three games and has five points in 11 games this season. The undersized defenceman also has the ability to work the power play, scoring 25 of his 555 career points with the man advantage. Jacob McQuaide Jersey. 8. Looking to mix up their forward lines, the Winnipeg Jets bumped Mark Scheifele up to a spot between Evander Kane and Blake Wheeler and, while its a good opportunity, its fair to wonder if the 20-year-old is ready for it. He has three points and 15 shots on goal in 11 games and doesnt have strong puck possession numbers. Its understandable if the Jets would like the seventh pick in the 2011 Draft to take on a bigger role for them, but thats not how prospect development works. 9. Earlier in the week, Darren Dreger noted that the Detroit Red Wings were exploring trade possibilities, specifically mentioning Jordin Tootoo as one forward that the Wings might be willing to ship out. Detroits stockpiling of forwards this past offseason was curious. They have 15 forwards under contract, with two -- Daren Helm and Patrick Eaves -- on long-term IR. Helm is nearing a return to the lineup, which provides some impetus for change, but the Wings also had to demote Gustav Nyquist to the AHL because he didnt require waivers to be sent down. Nyquist has seven points in five AHL games (129 in 127 career AHL games) and is ready for the NHL, but there is logjam in front of him. They also sent down Cory Emmerton, who has played 125 NHL games, because he was passed by prospect Luke Clendening for the fourth-line centre spot, a role that could be Helms once he is ready to return. In addition to moving Tootoo, the Wings probably wouldnt mind finding a taker for Mikael Samuelsson, who has a no-trade clause but is a healthy scratch about half the time. The Wings might need to be willing to eat some money and get Samuelssons approval in order to move his $3-million salary. While the Red Wings might like defensive help in exchange, they would also likely be satisfied with draft picks or prospects in exchange for the roster flexibility that a trade would provide. Tootoo is a $1.9-million cap hit through next season, which is pricey for a fourth-liner. 10. With the Dallas Stars clearly unhappy about the play of D Alex Goligoski, its probably worth considering which teams might be able to use a 28-year-old puck-moving defenceman. Goligoski has 140 points (in 278 games) since the start of the 2010-2011 season, ranking 21st among defencemen. 61 of those points have come on the power play. Undeniably, however, he has struggled this season, and has no points and a minus-10 rating in eight games. With three years, at a cap hit of $4.6-million, it wont be easy to move Goligoski (who has limited no-trade protection), particularly at such a low point in his value but some teams might have some interest in an offensive defenceman with Goligoskis track record. Buffalo, Detroit, Florida, New Jersey, Philadelphia the Rangers and Islanders are among the teams that look like they could use an upgrade from an offensive standpoint on the blueline and might be able to accomodate such a deal. Depending on how much salary the Stars would be willing to take on, there could be more options. Of course, its possible that Goligoski will recover from this poor start, but its not going to be easy road to convince a new coach that his first impression isnt on target. FIRST NHL GAMESTyler Pitlick, RW, Edmonton - The 31st pick in the 2010 Draft, Pitlick has 36 points in 113 career AHL games. Hes only 21 and has the size and speed to play a checking role, but the Oilers should have better options available, at least once they get their forwards healthy. Patrick Holland, RW, Montreal - Acquired from Calgary as part of the Mike Cammalleri-Rene Bourque trade, Holland scored 109 points in his last year of junior, but has 30 points in 73 AHL games thus far in his career. The 21-year-old has played a little over six minutes per game in two games since being recalled to fill-in for the injury-ravaged Canadiens. Chris Breen, D, Calgary - 6-foot-7 blueliner was undrafted out of the Ontario Hockey League and has spent three-plus seasons in the AHL, putting up 25 points in 203 games, so hes a no-frills player, but he has that size and the team president probably doesnt mind this. Xavier Ouellet, D, Detroit - A second-round pick in 2011, Ouellet is a skilled puck-moving defenceman in his first pro season after scoring 127 points in 139 (regular season plus playoff) games over his last two junior seasons with Blainville-Boisbriand in the QMJHL. He played more than 17 minutes in his debut, against San Jose, and fared well but, like all Red Wings prospects, there is time to be spent in the AHL. Freddie Hamilton, RW, San Jose - A fifth-round pick of the Sharks in 2010, and Dougies older brother, Freddie Hamilton is a grinding forward who has 27 points in 78 AHL games since turning pro last season. He has filled in for Brent Burns on the Sharks top line for a couple of games, playing 15:35 at Boston Thursday. Cameron Talbot, G, N.Y. Rangers - With Henrik Lundqvist nursing an injury and Martin Biron suddenly retired, the Rangers turned to 26-year-old Talbot, an undrafted prospect out of the University of Alabama-Huntsville. He had a .918 save percentage in 55 AHL games last season and opened this year with a .924 save percentage in five games before getting the call. He lost his debut, but stopped 25 of 27 shots against the Flyers.   Scott Cullen can be reached at Scott.Cullen@bellmedia.ca and followed on Twitter at http://twitter.com/tsnscottcullen. NEW YORK -- They were bloodied and eventually beaten, though not before delivering the type of effort Gregg Popovich always expects of his San Antonio Spurs. John Randle Jersey. Even when his team is so banged-up that it had two guys in protective facemasks on the court at the same time -- and one of them broke his nose again, anyway. "I know we didnt look pretty," Popovich said. "Im more interested in results than how we look. So I thought they performed well." The short-handed Spurs hung in, but Alan Anderson scored 19 of his 22 points in the second half to lead the Brooklyn Nets to a 103-89 victory Thursday night. Despite playing without Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Kawhi Leonard, their top four scorers, the Spurs were still within five points early in the fourth quarter before the Nets pulled away for good. Deron Williams added 16 points and eight assists as Brooklyn ended a six-game losing streak to San Antonio with its first victory since March 29, 2010. The Spurs overcame all their challenges to pull out a 125-118 double-overtime victory at Washington on Wednesday, but didnt have enough to beat an improving Brooklyn team and fell to 2-1 on their nine-game rodeo trip. "Im disappointed we didnt win," Popovich said, shrugging off the injuries. "Im thinking we make a couple of 3s in the second half and we hang right in there, and thats the way youve got to look at it." Nando De Colo started for Parker, but had to rush off the court bleeding from the nose after he was whacked while trying to defend Andrei Kirilenko. He returned in the second half wearing a mask, as Matt Bonner already was. Bonner took another hit later and said he broke another bone in his nose. Cory Joseph scored 18 for the Spurs, Danny Green had 17 and Patty Mills 16. Paul Pierce had 12 points for the Nets, who have turned things around since the Spurs outclassed them 112-93 in San Antonio on New Years Eve, leaving Brooklyn at 10-21. They are 12-4 in 2014 and have won two straight since dropping three in a row, all against division leaders. "Weve got the pieces," Anderson said. "Were finally starting to turn the corner a lot more lately. I just want to win no matter how much Im playing." The Spurs trotted out Green, Marco Belinelli, Tiago Splitter, Joseph and De Colo to start, an unheralded lineup similar to the one Popovich used when he sent Duncan, Parker, Ginobili and Green home before another Thursday night nationally televised game at Miami early last season. That decision cost the Spurs a $250,000 fine from former Commissioner David Stern, but Popovich didnt have much of a choice who he played this time. Ginobili (left hamstring) and Leonard (broken bone in right hand) were already out, and Popovich noticed Parker labouring with a back injury during the first half Wednesday. Parker then sat the remainder of the game, and Duncan played a season-high 40 minutes, well more than Popovich prefers to use the 37-year-old forward and essentially mandating a night off Thursday. Making matters worse, Boris Diaw then was vomiting during the day at the team hotel because of food poisoning and couldnt play. "Really wishing that some of those guys were healthy right now," said Green, who played 35 minutes after logging 46 Wednesday. "Its always good to play a lot of minutes, but at the same time it would have been nice to have some of those guys healthy tonight." The guys that were left raced to a 20-8 lead and were ahead the whole first quarter, settling for a 24-17 advantage. The Nets took a 40-39 lead into halftime when Williams made a jumper with 38 seconds remaining. With the Nets leading by two late in the third, Anderson converted a three-point play, his first of seven straight Brooklyn points to end the quarter and give the Nets a 75-68 lead. He another three-point play with the Nets ahead by five in the fourth, and his 3-pointer made it 87-77 and the Nets were comfortably ahead from there. "I thought he was taking wide-open shots. He was also being aggressive, driving the ball knowing that they didnt have any shot blocking," Nets coach Jason Kidd said. Notes: The Nets Joe Johnson and the Belinelli were announced Thursday as competitors in the 3-point contest at All-Star Saturday night. ... Parker and Ginobili also missed the Nets previous victory in the series. The Nets havent beaten the Spurs when those two played since Nov. 13, 2002, according to STATS. Pat Elflein Jersey . Argentina, who have yet to beat New Zealand in 17 meetings, rocked the All Blacks with an early converted try to backrower Juan Manuel Leguizamon and led 7-0 after five minutes. But Smiths double in the 23rd and 26th minutes - when Argentina was reduced to 14 men by the sin-binning of hooker Eusebio Guinazu - turned the tide of the match and set up New Zealands third straight Championship win. Brett Favre Jersey . Atletico Madrid made it three wins from three thanks to a double from in-form striker Diego Costa in a 3-0 victory at Austria Vienna, leaving the Spanish side on the brink of the last 16 already to continue its brilliant start to the season. OAKLAND, Calif. -- Even with a runner on second and an open base at first, Coco Crisp fully expected Boston closer Koji Uehara to come right after him. For the second straight game, Oaklands speedy leadoff hitter guessed right. Crisp singled in Alberto Callaspo with one out in the 10th inning and the Athletics beat the Red Sox 2-1 on Saturday to extend their winning streak to five games. "I was taking the approach they were going to come right after me," said Crisp, who also drove in the game-winning run during Fridays 4-3 win. "I didnt want to wait around for the splitter so I was hoping that he would come in to what I was looking for, and he did. Another lucky guess." Its the second game-ending hit for Crisp this season and seventh of his career. It also took Oakland off the hook after Bostons Dustin Pedroia scored the tying run in the eighth following a controvesial call that resulted in the ejection of As manager Bob Melvin. Boston put runners on the corners with two outs when Oakland reliever Luke Gregerson appeared to strike out Mike Napoli. Napoli argued that he fouled the ball off the dirt, and home plate umpire Quinn Wolcott agreed although television replays appeared to indicate otherwise. The umpiring crew met to discuss the play before upholding the original call. Under the current replay system, balls and strikes are not reviewable. "The plate umpire heard sound and thought the ball hit the ground and called it a foul ball," said crew chief Gerry Davis. "This type of play happens quite often actually, its a difficult call for us. And in order to change it we have to positive (proof)." Gregerson, who had celebrated the apparent strikeout, bounced his next pitch in front of home plate. The ball ricocheted off the chest protector of catcher Stephen Vogt and rolled toward the mound as Dustin Pedroia scored from third. After Napoli flew out to end the inning, Melvin raced out from Oaklands dugout and angrily confronted Wolcott before getting tossed. "My feeling is that if theres a play that needs to be reviewed, you should review it. You just cant on that one," Melvin said. "What I was told the call was was a foul ball that hit the dirt. And no one saw anything conclusive to overturn it. Joe Berger Jersey. . But after looking it, it was caught." The play prevented Oakland starter Jesse Chavez from winning his second straight start. Chavez took a no-hitter into the sixth and held the Red Sox scoreless through seven before giving way to the bullpen. He struck out four and walked four. The As have won the first three games of this four-game series by a total of four runs. Callaspo drew a leadoff walk against reliever Edward Mujica (2-3) in the 10th and was sacrificed to second. Uehara replaced Mujica before Crisp lined his first pitch into right field. Boston right fielder Brock Holt made a strong throw but Callaspo slid home with the game-winner. "Coco being Coco," Chavez said. "He did it last night and he did it again today." Boston was shut out for the first seven innings before Pedroia scored on a wild pitch in the eighth. The Red Sox missed a chance to take the lead in the top of the 10th when Oakland reliever Dan Otero struck out David Ortiz with two on and two out. "Weve had situations get away from us in terms of men in scoring position," Boston manager John Farrell said. "Weve got to continue to build opportunities. Whether or not we cash in on those, thats what we got to continue to focus on" Boston starter Rubby De La Rosa nearly matched Chavez in his first career appearance against the As. De La Rosa, who struck out four and walked four, retired the first six batters before Vogts triple off the extended wall in right-centre. Vogt scored on Alberto Callaspos sacrifice fly despite a stellar play by Holt, who had made a diving catch on Callaspos sinking liner in the gap in right-centre then threw home. Oakland managed only six runners over the next six innings until Callaspos leadoff walk in the 10th. NOTES: The As are 7-2 on this homestand. ... Melvins ejection is his first this season. ... Bostons Jon Lester (8-7) faces Oaklands Tommy Milone (5-3) on Sunday in a battle of lefties. Lester had a career-high 15 strikeouts against the As on May 3. ... Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley, who pitched for both franchises, threw out the first pitch. Eckersley currently works as a television analyst for the Red Sox. Wholesale NFL Jerseys Wholesale NFL Gear Discount NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping Stitched Jerseys NFL Jerseys Outlet Wholesale NFL Jerseys ' ' '

PARIS -- For once, not everything seems so obvious heading into the French Open. Michael Rasmussen Jersey . Yes, Rafael Nadal will still be favoured by most to win the clay-court Grand Slam tournament yet again. He is, after all, 59-1 for his career at Roland Garros, winner of a record eight championships, including the last four. TSN and TSN2 will have live coverage at Roland Garros throughout the French Open starting with Day 1 coverage on Sunday, May 25 at 10am et/7am pt on TSN2. Still, if the 2014 tennis season to date is any indication, there could be some surprises in store when play begins in Paris on Sunday. So far, there already was one new major champion, Stanislas Wawrinka at the Australian Open. And there has been a rather egalitarian feel to the spring clay circuit, with nine winners at nine tournaments. Then theres this: Nadals three losses on clay are the most hes had in a season since 2004. Brett Hull Jersey . Ralston Turner added 16 points on nine shots and BeeJay Anya gave 14 with four blocks off the bench for the Wolfpack (12-5, 3-1 ACC), who picked up a crucial win in their most grueling stretch of the season. LONDON -- The Ukrainian city of Lviv withdrew its bid for the 2022 Winter Games on Monday, becoming the third contender to drop out of the race for an Olympics that no one seems to want. Josh Gorges Jersey . Lviv pulled out because of the continuing political and security crisis in Ukraine, where government forces are battling an insurgency by pro-Russian separatists. Lviv officials said they would now focus on bidding for the 2026 Winter Games instead. The decision to withdraw, which had been widely expected, followed talks between Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and IOC President Thomas Bach. "We concluded that it would be extremely difficult to pursue the 2022 bid under current circumstances but that a future bid would make sense for Ukraine and Ukrainian sport," Bach said in a statement. The announcement came exactly one week before the International Olympic Committee selects a short list of finalists for the 2022 Games. Three cities remain in contention: Almaty, Kazakhstan; Beijing, and Oslo. With Lviv out, the IOC executive board is likely to retain all three and not cut any of the candidates. The host city will be selected by the full IOC in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on July 31, 2015. "We have always said that we will only continue if we can be certain to deliver on all our promises," Lviv bid CEO Sergei Goncharov told The Associated Press. "Due to the current circumstances in Ukraine, we, however, felt that a bid for 2026 would make more sense. We remain convinced of the positive impact that hosting Olympic Games would have for the city of Lviv and the whole country." Lvivs withdrawal follows the earlier pullouts of Stockholm and Krakow, Poland. The Swedish capital dropped out in December after politicians declined to give financial support. The Polish city withdrew last month after 70 per cent of residents rejected the bid in a referendum. The future of Oslos bid also remains uncertain. The Norwegian government has yet to back the project and wont make a decision until the autumn. In addition, recent polls have shown that more than half the population opposes the games. If Oslo drops out later, that would leave only two cities standing. Almaty, commercial capital of the former Soviet republic of Kazakhstan in Central Asia, hosted the 2011 Asian Winter Games and would shape up as the favourite. Beijing, which hosted the 2008 Olympics, is bidding to become the first city to stage both the Summer and Winter Games. Beijing proposes holding Alpine events 120 miles (190 kilometres) away in the northern Chinese city of Zhangjiakou. And with Pyeongchang, South Korea, hosting the 2018 Winter Games and Tokyo the 2020 Olympics, the IOC would normally be reluctant to send the games to Asia for a third straight time. Even before the start of the official 2022 campaign, two potential serious contenders stayed away. St. Moritz-Davos and Munich cancelled proposed bids after voters in Switzerland and Germany voted "no" in referendums. The troubled race poses a crisis for the IOC, which is running out of potential sites for the games. Potential host cities, especially in Western Europe, are concerned about the financial costs of the games. Many have been scared off by the $51 billion price tag associated with Februarys Winter Olympics in Sochi. Russia spent much of the record sum on long-term infrastructure projects for the entire region. Rio de Janeiros delayed preparations for the 2016 Olympics are also a major concern. Changes to the bidding process and efforts to reduce the cost of the games are among the key issues being addressed by the IOC as part of Bachs "Agenda 2020" -- his blueprint for the future of the Olympic movement that will be voted on in December. Despite their withdrawal, Lviv bid officials have travelled to Pyeongchang this week for debriefings on the Sochi Games. Bach said the IOCs preliminary assessment of the Lviv bid found "a huge potential for future development." "We will continue to pursue our dream," Goncharov said. "We have learned a great deal during our first ever bid and we will come back stronger." Pat Lafontaine Jersey . ST. Guillermo Ochoa Mexico Jersey . PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Rays are hopeful that a successful series against Houston is the start of a turnaround. Yunel Escobar drove in two runs during a three-run sixth inning and the Rays beat the Astors 5-2 on Sunday. Escobar hit a two-run single and Sean Rodriguez had an RBI grounder off Dallas Keuchel (8-5) to give the Rays a 4-2 lead in the sixth. The Rays are 8-18 over their past 26 games, including five wins in seven games against Houston. Tampa Bay took three of four in the weekend series. "We won, thats the bottom line," Rays third baseman Evan Longoria said. "Weve got a lot of work to do. We put ourselves in a pretty good hole, but I think that the belief on a daily basis is still we can come to the ballpark and win." Keuchel allowed five runs and nine hits in an eight-inning complete game. It was his third complete game this season. "We did some good things today against a tough pitcher," Longoria said. Dexter Fowler put the Astros up 1-0 when he hit the first pitch of the game from Erik Bedard into the left-field seats. It was his ninth career leadoff homer and third this season. Bedard, who was with Houston last season, gave up two runs and seven hits in 5 1-3 innings. Juan Carlos Oviedo (3-2) got two outs in the sixth for the win. Joel Peralta pitched the ninth for his first save. Rodriguez made it 5-2 on an eighth-inning sacrifice fly. Houston took a 2-1 lead in the third on Jose Altuves single. Jonathan Villar opened the inning with a double, was awarded a steal of third after a replay challenge resulted in an out call being overturned and scored on the hit by Altuve. Altuve has 13 hits in his past 24 at-bats. The Rays tied it at 1 in the bottom of the first on Longorias single Desmond Jennings was caught attempting to steal home with Longoria batting to end the third, a call that was confirmed by a replay review. After catcher Carlos Corporan threw the ball back to Keuchel, Jennings broke for the plate, but was tagged by Corporan after a return throw from Keuchel. "I know he does some uncharacteristic stuff," Kuechel said. "I dont turn my back from the guy on third, so I caught him out of the corner of my eye and just tried to get the ball out as soon as possible." "I still think Desmond was safe," Rays manager Joe Maddon said. "I think throughout this whole process, the think thats really standing out to me, Im into replay, I still believe there needs to be a separate group of umpires that are just out there specifically for replay only. That I hope would be the next step in regards to getting this thing nailed down." NOTES: SS Carlos Correa, taken first overall in the 2012 draft by the Astros, left Saturdays game with Class A Lancaster with a right ankle injury, which occurred while sliding. He will go on the disabled list. "Carlos was examined last night at a local hospital in California," Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow said. "He will travel to Houston early this week to be evaluated further by the Astros medical staff before determining next steps." ... LAKE LOUISE, Alta. -- Lindsey Vonn was cleared to get back on a World Cup course for downhill training, the latest step as she works to return from a right knee injury and get ready for the Sochi Olympics. Now Vonn -- and the rest of the skiing world -- will wait to find out whether shell actually be racing by the end of this week. The four-time overall World Cup champion and reigning Olympic downhill gold medallist is expected to start in Wednesdays first official training session at Lake Louise, the U.S. Ski Team said Tuesday. The team added that not until Thursday would a decision be made on whether Vonn will return to competition for the first time since tearing right knee ligaments in a high-speed crash at the world championships last February. The scheduled races at Lake Louise -- a site Vonn has dominated in the past, including three-victory sweeps in 2011 and 2012 -- are downhills on Friday and Saturday, with a super-G on Sunday. Vonn will start 10th in Wednesdays training run. "Shes trying to come back as quick as possible, and it just happens to be that Lake Louise is on the (schedule) right now," U.S. womens coach Alex Hoedlmoser said. "Its a very good place for her to come back and try because shes very familiar with the course and had success here." The U.S. Ski Team said Vonn "felt strong" after doing super-G training in her hometown of Vail, Colo., last weekend, and that her surgeon, Dr. Bill Sterettt, feels "her knee is stable. Carlos Vela Mexico Jersey. " "I hope she is in good shape. I hope shes fit," said Atle Skaardal, the womens race director for the International Ski Federation (FIS). "Because racing downhill is not something you do if you are not in too good shape." Originally, Tuesday was supposed to be the first day of downhill training, but that was called off because of travel delays from the womens previous World Cup stop at Beaver Creek, Colo. Vonn was working toward a return to racing there last week, until wiping out during a training run on Nov. 19, and partially tearing a ligament in her surgically repaired knee. The American told The Associated Press over the weekend that she needs another operation on her knee but is trying to put it off as long as possible in order to be able to ski at the Sochi Games, which begin in a little more than two months. Vonn is three race wins from equaling the World Cup womens record of 62 held by Austrias Annemarie Moser-Proell. Of her 59 career World Cup race victories, 14 have come at Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies. She is so successful -- and comfortable -- on this particular slope, she petitioned FIS in October 2012 to allow her to compete in a mens World Cup race at Lake Louise. That request was turned down. "This is kind of her playground here," Skaardal said, "and she could probably not ask for a better place to do a comeback." Wholesale NFL Jerseys Wholesale NFL Gear Discount NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping Stitched JerseysNFL Jerseys Outlet Wholesale NFL Jerseys ' ' '

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Kings are a mountain to climb, and the size of the challenge comes home the closer you get. Myles Jack Jersey . The New York Rangers finally had a first-hand look in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final, mounting an early assault before Los Angeles knocked them back to win 3-2 in overtime. Asked to compare the physicality of the well-drilled Kings to the three teams the Rangers have beaten in the playoffs to date, New York coach Alain Vigneault neatly summed up the challenge before the Blueshirts. "Philly was a physical team and they played on the edge," he said. "Pittsburgh played more of a skill game, but they also had quite a few players that played on the edge. Montreal was a real structured team. So they were three different opponents. "This one here is structured. Theyve got skill. Theyre physical. So makes it a pretty big challenge." You can add battle-hardened to that list. In the dog-eat-dog Western Conference, the Kings have come to the final the long way. They have had to run the gauntlet of San Jose, Anaheim and Chicago -- teams that finished 15, 20 and 11 points, respectively, ahead of New York in the regular season. And they did it without home-ice advantage. "Were a team thats just never going to go away," said Los Angeles forward Kyle Clifford. "Doesnt matter what the score is, were going to play our hardest and do what we do best." The Kings, who clawed their way back to dominate the second half of Wednesdays game, have already given the Rangers plenty to chew on. The New Yorkers, nestled in a five-star cubbyhole on the beach, had the day off Thursday to ponder the challenge. "To be able to be away from the game is a good thing, but at the same time I think if you ask every guy on our team, where were at mentally right now is were at the rink still," said forward Derek Stepan. "Guys are evaluating their own games, getting ready to make adjustments and get ourselves ready for Game 2." That comes Saturday, and Vigneault wasted little time challenging his players to up their game this time. "One thing is real evident to me, and it should be to our whole group, is were not going to beat this team if we do not all bring our A game," Vigneault said. "It is that strong of an opponent that were playing against. "We had Hank (goalie Henrik Lundqvist) that brought his A game last night. We had a couple guys. I dont want to name who, I think brought their A game. But our B game wont do it. Were not going to win if we bring our B game to the table. "Theyre one of the best teams Ive seen in a long time. Areas to exploit, they dont jump out at you. Were going to have to be better than we were." Unlike in the Eastern Conference final series against Montreal, where Vigneault and Habs coach Michel Therrien poked and prodded each other verbally, Vigneault has been all business so far in the final. He seems to be staring at the Kings, like a career bank robber pondering how to take down a state-of-the-art safe. The Rangers coach says his team knew going into the series what was needed to win. "Its something that we discussed -- how good the opponent was. And thats a challenge. At this time of the year to win, you got to bring your A game. Thats each and every player. When we played Game 6 against Montreal, each and every player brought his A game. Its not an easy thing to do. But against this opponent, I do believe our expectations are to win, (weve) got to find a way to do it." Vigneault is no strangers to the challenge, having crossed paths with the Kings many times during his years as coach of the Canucks. "They were a good team in the years past," he said. "Theyre a real good team now. Theyve obviously got more experience. They play their game plan to a T and they dont deviate in any shape, way, or form so that makes it real challenging for the opposition." Captain Dustin Brown says part of the secret of the Kings success is their familiarity. "For our team, its just a result of us being together for a long time. I think that goes a longer ways than most people think," he said. "When it gets really hard, really tough, you know the guy next to you very well. You know what hes going to do in those types of situations." Worrying for the Rangers is the fact the Kings, who fell behind 2-0 in the first period only to rally and outshoot New York 20-3 in the third, can be better. Los Angeles coach Darryl Sutter acknowledged his team was sluggish following the quick turnaround from the gruelling series with Chicago. "Guys are not machines," he told a media availability at a hotel adjacent to their practice facility. "We can play a lot better," he added. "Its way better when youre not chasing the lead." Sutter did his bit to inject some life into his team, changing up the lines in the first period as soon as he saw some players did not have their legs under them. The Kings also had an off-day Thursday. Brad Nortman Jersey . However, it wasnt a problem on Monday night. Evgeni Nabokov made 23 saves for his 56th career shutout in the New York Islanders 3-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night. Lerentee McCray Jersey . The alley-oop looked easy -- just like everything else after halftime for the Miami Heat. James scored 32 points, Wade added 22 points and eight assists, and the Heat trailed by 11 early in the second half before running away to a 107-88 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night.CONCORD, N.C. - Jamie McMurray started his day at home with his young son, who vowed to spend the day playing in his sand box. Then Carter McMurray asked his dad what he had planned for Saturday. "Im going to race for a million bucks, " McMurray told him. Race for it? Sure. Win it? With his Las Vegas odds at 40-1, McMurray was one of the biggest long shots Saturday night in the Sprint All-Star race. But he pulled off a masterful upset, staging a tense door-to-door battle with Carl Edwards to grab the $1 million prize with his first All-Star victory. McMurray, who led a race-high 31 laps, had never before led a lap in the All-Star race, and his previous best finish in seven appearances in the exhibition was eighth. McMurray was second on the restart for the 10-lap sprint to the checkered flag. Lined up outside of pole-sitter Edwards, McMurray flirted several times for the lead on a frantic lap around Charlotte Motor Speedway. Although he surged slightly ahead several times, and the two cars appeared to touch more than once, McMurray finally cleared Edwards for the lead two laps into the fifth and final segment. "As a kid, that is what you grew up wanting to do, is have a shootout like that and have a possibility to race for 10 laps," McMurray said. "He got a little bit of a jump on me on the restart and I was able to hang on to his quarter panel, and when we kept entering Turn 1 and 3, I was like, It is for a million bucks. If we wreck, its not that big of a deal. "Its so cool to come out on top." Once he cleared Edwards, McMurray easily pulled away for the victory. Edwards, who faded to fifth, immediately watched the replay after the race. "Jamie just did a perfect job on the start. I had him cleared for a minute," Edwards said. "If I would have pulled in front of him in Turn 1, if I would have gone high, I think we would have won that race. But I was just so reluctant to give up the bottom. It was a drag race. My hat is off to him. He earned it." McMurrays first career victory came at Charlotte in 2002 in his second start with Chip Ganassi Racing. He also won in 2010 and goes into the Coca-Cola 600 next Sunday needing a win in that race to have career victories in all three of Charlottes main events. Kevin Harvick finished second, Matt Kenseth was third and Dale Earnhardt Jr., who complained earlier in the race he was driving a dump truck, was fourth. Kurt Busch was 11th after qualifying for the Indianapolis 500 earlier in the day. Telvin Smith Jersey. "Really happy to see Jamie win, its always nice to see good guys win," said Kenseth, a former teammate of McMurrays at Roush Fenway Racing. It seemed to be a popular victory as several drivers made a point to congratulate McMurray in their post-race interviews as the driver took his Chevrolet to Victory Lane. He was met there by team owners Felix Sabates and Chip Ganassi, who flew into North Carolina before the race after Indianapolis 500 qualifying. It was a tough day for Ganassi in Indianapolis, where none of his five cars made it into the Fast 9 qualifying round and Scott Dixon was his fastest driver at 15th. "We obviously didnt have a good day in Indianapolis and youre damn right this turned the day around," said Ganassi, who kissed McMurray as he and Sabates cut the post-race news conference short to head back to Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Kyle Busch won the first segment, but his night ended early in the second 20-lap segment when he used an aggressive move in a fast attempt to avoid running into the back of older brother, Kurt. "His brother forced his hand," Clint Bowyer said of the accident that nearly collected his car. "Hell, I dont know how I didnt wreck." The Busch brothers were running together when Kurt was too close to the outside wall and Kyle tried to dart into the middle lane to avoid hitting him. Instead, Kyle hit the back of Bowyer as he tried to swing around Bowyer into a third lane. Bowyer clipped him as Busch surged ahead, and it began a spin that sent Busch into the path of Joey Logano. Busch failed to finish the All-Star race for the fifth time in nine years. "I saw Kurt get really bottled up and about get in the wall, so he had to check-up real hard and my shot was in the middle, to go across three lanes and underneath Bowyer," Busch said. "But Bowyer blocked it and when he did, I got into him. Those are the opportunities you have to take in the All-Star." Kasey Kahne went on to win that segment, and the third segment. "I say just leave the car for now, felt pretty good right there," Kahne radioed after the third segment as his crew debated pit strategy. But his night fell apart in the fourth segment when he hit the wall to damage his Chevrolet. "I hit it hard. I blew it bad," he radioed. "Sorry, guys. I cant believe that happened. We had the best car here by far. Great, great car." Kahne wound up 14th. Wholesale NFL JerseysWholesale NFL Gear Discount NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping Stitched Jerseys NFL Jerseys Outlet Wholesale NFL Jerseys ' ' '

A few questions for his teammates and a couple practice laps, and he was ready to roll in his first race at Chicagoland Speedway. Elliott held off Trevor Bayne to earn his third Nationwide Series win of the season Saturday night, putting the rookie on top of the standings. "We had an awesome race going," Elliott said. "I try to make the most of my practice laps. They gave me a good car. That gives me time to learn the track in practice." Elliott had a strong car all day long for JR Motorsports, qualifying third and leading a race-high 85 laps. Bayne tried to chase him down on fresh tires in the final laps, but ran out of time. "The gap was closing," Bayne said. "Probably 10 more laps, but well never know." Elliott, the son of former NASCAR champion Bill Elliott, also won in his first trips to Texas and Darlington this year. He leads the standings by seven points over Regan Smith. Chase Elliott said Smith and Kasey Kahne provided some importance advice about the track. "I did have some questions that I asked, and I definitely think that helped tonight," he said. "So thankful to have a couple great teammates and good to have something to lean back on with those guys." Kyle Larson was third, followed by Kahne and Ty Dillon to round out the top five. Brian Scott, who started on the pole, finished sixth and earned $100,000 in the second event of the four-race "Dash 4 Cash" bonus program. Kahne and Larson were the lone Sprint Cup regulars in the field on an off weekend for NASCARs top series. Everyone comes back to Chicagoland in September on the same weekend that the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship begins at the 1. Donald Stephenson Jersey. 52-mile oval. The night began with a pair of Richard Childress Racing teammates in front after Scott and Dillon had the best showing in qualifying. It was Scotts second pole of the season and No. 4 for his career. He won his first Nationwide Series pole at Chicagoland on Sept. 17, 2011. Scott led for 20 laps before Elliott moved in front. Erik Jones finished seventh in his Nationwide debut, driving Joe Gibbs Racings No. 20 Toyota. The 18-year-old Jones won the Truck Series race last week at Iowa in the No. 51 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota he shares with Busch. Jones also won a Truck race last year in Phoenix. Jones is expected to make two more Nationwide starts in Matt Kenseths car this season. "It was definitely a learning experience for me and everybody involved," he said. "I feel like I learned a lot the whole night and really picked up on some things that will help me through the next couple." Jones got some advice from Busch in preparation for his first run in the series. "A lot of what we talked about was working through traffic and it definitely helped out," Jones said. "It was something I was able to apply right away tonight and use to my advantage." Smith, who led the series standings by eight points over Elliott Sadler coming into the day, started 15th after a disappointing qualifying session, and it just got worse during the race. He never got into the mix on his way to 16th place. It was similar to last year, when Smith was on top of the series heading into the first stop at Chicagoland, and then slid into the infield on Lap 129 and finished 13th. He had the same finish in the September race at the same track. Wholesale NFL Jerseys Wholesale NFL Gear Discount NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping Stitched Jerseys NFL Jerseys Outlet Wholesale NFL Jerseys ' ' '
